Résumé

The evolution of the teaching force happened over more than a century of colonialism and resistance. The main challenge is to understand how the vernacular constructions of what teaching stands for are positioned in relation to each other, over an increasingly fragmented territory and field of power, and how these constructions interface with political struggles around contested collective imaginaries.
